Notice of Budget Adoption Notice of Budget Adoption
In accordance with O.C.G.A. §20-2-167.1, the Meriwether County Board of
Education will provide an opportunity for public input on its proposed annual
operating budget for the 2026-2027 school year. Such input will be allowed
at the 1st Public Meeting on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 9:30 AM and the 2nd
Public Meeting on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 5:30 PM at the Board Office
located at 2100 Gaston Street, Greenville, GA 30222. This location is also
where the final budget will be adopted on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 6:00 PM.
All proposed budget information, including line item details, may be found
on the school district’s website: http://www.mcssga.org/

Balance Scorecard:
District-wide goals include increasing student achievement in all subject areas. At the school level, goals focus on: improving individual student performance by providing targeted interventions based on formative and observational achievement data, increasing participation in and effectiveness of remediation activities, and ensuring 90% of students complete regular progress monitoring assessments. MCSS intends to use these tools to provide personalized learning and data-driven instruction to foster measurable academic success among all students.
